5 oz Year of the Horse Copper Round

5 oz Year of the Horse Copper Round

This beautiful round celebrates 2014 as a Chinese "Year of the Horse", part of the 12-year Chinese zodiac cycle. This cycle follows the same repeating sequence in twelve-year increments, and designates each year with a different animal name.

Expanded description

Weighing in at 5 ounces and minted in 0.999% pure copper, the Year of the Horse Copper Round features an attractive design in high relief.

The obverse side centers on the striking image of a rearing stallion and includes the year 2014. The Chinese character for horse, or "Wu", appears as well, along with The Golden State Mint identification.

The reverse side features a compelling circular design, featuring the animal symbols and Chinese characters for all 12 zodiac years including the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. The Year of the Horse Copper Round is a true collector's round with an exceptionally sharp strike and the perfect luster of copper.
