Expanded description

The obverse (front) of the round features a strutting rooster on an expansive field, as the sun rises on the horizon. Inside the sun is the weight of the coin, two ounces, while along the bottom is “Golden State Mint”.

Next to the rooster’s head is the Chinese symbol for rooster. Along the top of the round is “Year of The Rooster”, and to the right side is “.999 Copper” to represent the round’s purity.

On the reverse (back) of the round can be found an impressive wheel design that has been divided to show all twelve animals that represent the Chinese zodiac, which include the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig.
